Apple has updated Xcode 4.1.1 which was causing installation problems before. The updated version of Xcode 4.1.1 will fix that bug. In previous version problem seen in installation process where it was quitting of iTunes but the dialogue box would not leave the screen even after iTunes was completely stopped so Apple has now released a delta update to fix the Installation alert issues.
What is Xcode?
Xcode is a suite of tools, developed by Apple, for developing software for Mac OS X and iOS. Xcode 4.1, the latest major version, is available on the Mac App Store for free for Mac OS X 10.7. As of July 2011, Xcode version 3 is still available for free download from the Apple Developer Connection website. Mac OS X install DVDs typically include a copy of Xcode, as well. Source: Wikipedia
Note: If you have been successful in installing Xcode 4.1 you do not need to install the Xcode 4.1.1 update.
